Project Manager - Vendor Management

Are you passionate about coordinating multiple projects or delivery streams? Do you have strong analytical skills and attention to detail? Do you know how to improve vendor management of our legal vendor portfolio?
The Outside Counsel Management team is looking for a project manager and vendor management specialist:
- drive and implement improvement measures and improvement projects along the front-to-back outside counsel and legal vendor engagement process
- help to identify new measures and projects for the improvement of the processes and controls around Outside Counsel Management
- compile and analyze financial information related to external legal fees and establish corresponding presentations for key stakeholders
- constantly improve various vendor management-related activities (such as the demand and cost commitment processes, roll-out and governance of preferred vendor panels, competitive sourcing activities)
- effectively partner with Group General Counsel stakeholders, Group Sourcing, Group Finance, all UBS business divisions and Chain IQ - in collaboration with colleagues and in-house counsels, improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of Outside Counsel Management
Key responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of a project, which includes project planning, execution, timing, quality, cost and early identification of potential issues
- Manage the staff of a project team directly, or a team as part of a Matrix organization, ensuring efficient use of resources
- Identify stakeholders and clients, evaluate their interests and establish effective communication channels with them
Your skills
You have
- 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally in the area of legal vendor management
- worked in a sourcing-aligned function in a large-scale organization
- preferably a legal background
- led project teams in a Matrix organization and have the required stakeholder skills to do so
You are
- fluent in English, with excellent negotiation skills
- experienced with analysing and improving vendor portfolios
