Project Manager/Transition Strategy

PROJECT MANAGER/TRANSITION STRATEGY 6 MONTHS

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Client's dynamic team environment. As Project Manager you will take ownership of a variety of projects covering high level technical design of transitions, business processes, application delivery, systems and infrastructure technologies.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Project Manager and will be required to operate successfully in a complex stakeholder environment, building and providing leadership to their project team(s), and managing procurement and ongoing vendor engagement activities effectively. The successful candidate will be running projects with team size ranging from 4-8, some dedicated others shared with other projects in the program.

The successful candidate must capable of operating with relative autonomy and under a "management by exception" tailored Prince2 framework, with proven experience of the delivery of allocated projects within defined tolerances (cost & time), to defined scope/quality and/or timely and accurate exception reporting. Sub projects include Server/Storage/Web App Hosting/DC Migration, etc.

You will be required to produce & update standard project management documentation during project delivery including, but not limited to:
Project schedule, stage plan, budget and closure reports
Risk, issue, dependency, highlight & exception reports, daily logs
Work packages, Product breakdown structure, product flow diagram & product descriptions

You will have:
Demonstrated Project Management skills, expertise and Prince2 qualifications (MANDATORY) in delivering business outcomes and benefits with an ICT component, using a contemporary approach, for projects similar in nature, scope and timeframes.

Background:
Mandatory - 5 years' experience Project Management including PRINCE2 (practitioner)
Mandatory - Demonstrated experience in IT project management within business transition, transformation or merger & acquisition programs
Mandatory - Vendor management experience with Education/University/TAFE sector experience
