Project Manager - Technical

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Managing the video implementation team's daily work, as well as managing and ensuring the quality of the video data system.
- Coordinates activities of a project team, and identifies resources: responsible for work intake and load balancing among a team of 3-10 people.
- Manages video meta data files in the version control system.
- Administers video database, updating the data feed as well as status pages and other documentation on an internal wiki.
- Encodes videos for playback on multiple devices.
- Works as a team member or runs individual projects and is responsible for completing projects within allotted timeline and budget.
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- Ensure adherence's to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
- Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
- Communicates with internal clients and external vendors.
- Gathers, analyzes, and documents requirements for data integration.
- Creates and sustains processes, tools, and on-going support structures and processes.
- Investigates and resolves data issues across platforms and applications, including discrepancies of definition, format and function.

SKILLS

HTML, Video Encoding, SDLC, XML, MS Office required. Experienced Project Manager with a technical background, particularly in the video field. Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Project Management. Familiarity with video encoding technologies and tools. Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills and other Microsoft applications such as Visio. Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Access or other types of relational databases. Knowledge of device (desktop and mobile) video playback capabilities. Experience with version control systems and clients (such as Subversion/Eclipse). Basic knowledge of markup languages (HTML, XML, etc.) Knowledge of video encoding and streaming technologies is preferred. Version Control, MS Access, MS Excel desired.
