Project Manager - Street Lighting

We have a new opportunity for a Street Lighting Project Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the principal project manager, this role will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of a specific street lighting project based in Salford.

This role will be based in our offices in Eccles, Salford, Greater Manchester. However, some travelling may be required to other Capita Symonds or client's offices.

Duties will include:

- Work with the street lighting contracts manager on street lighting projects
- Responsible for running the day to day running of the LED retro fit project
- To provide project planning programmes to show progress and completion with in timescales
- To ensure timely procurement of contract materials to keep continuity of operation
- Manage and collection of all site records both in paper and electronic format (Geo-Works)
- Set operative to work in a safe manor and to company procedures/guidelines
- Ensure that all operations comply with current HSE legislation
- Undertake site inductions and toolbox talks
- Produce/review and approve RAMS

Essential Requirements

- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Lead the implementation of projects to live environments by providing direction and support to project team
- Manage project budgets and resource allocation
- Monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders
- Present reports defining project status, risks, issues and contingency plans
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Proven experience in people management
- Proven experience in strategic planning
- Proven experience in risk management
- Proven experience in change management
- Proficient in project management software
- Excellent reporting and communication skills
- Methodical approach to work and ability to work under own initiative to strict deadlines
- Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Electrotechnical Certification Scheme
- Site manager safety training scheme

Desirable qualifications:
Electrical Qualification

- NRSWA - City & Guilds Unit 010 (Supervisor) Monitoring signing lighting and guarding
- First Aid
- 37.5 hours a week
