ON-SITE PROJECT MANAGER/DELIVERY MANAGER - PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-

Acts as the on-site point of contact for the coordination of all requirements & delivery activities.
-

Works with the client team to ensure an accurate understanding of all developmentincluding authoring functional & technical specification documents, user stories & acceptance test cases as required.

Acts as the first point of contact & escalation for the client.
-

Acts as the point of assurance for all deliverables to the client.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Works with the client & practice VP to identify & source all onsite & offsite staffing requirements to ensure that all project deliverables are achieved in a timely manner.
- Acts as the daily interface to the client's project management, technical leads & quality team:
- Reports & manages contracted SLA's.
- Ensures requirements are understood and communicated effectively to the off shore team.
- Responsible for conducting reviews & validating the acceptance of all deliverables.
- Responsible for daily task creation and monitoring in Collaborate for onsite resources.
- Initial point of escalation and resolution of delivery related issues
- Supports the practice VP to ensure all new client startups follow established processes for transition to steady state
- Ensures that relevant process governance is implemented, followed & managed.
- Develops and maintain effective working relationships with programme/project sponsors and other key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure full commitment and support for the success of the project.
- Works with the offshore & client PM to create, develop & maintain comprehensive project plan(s) to manage project delivery.
- Ensures that all project strategies, targets and objectives are clearly defined and understood by key stakeholders.
- Establishes & implements effective change management strategiesincluding requirements & communications.
- Identifies & manages the delivery of benefits, issues and risks (including Industrial Relations).
- Ensures projects stay aligned with the needs of the clients business plans and strategy.
- Provides line management to a team of individuals, possibly covering more than one project/discipline.
- Provides leadership to the wider project team to ensure a consistent, quality approach is adopted & maintained.
- Uses relevant project management benchmarking data to improve performance and to communicate best practice.
- Supports the client's bid management phase of the sales process as required.

SKILLS, CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Good spoken & written English.
- Excellent client engagement & client management skills & capabilities.
- Good understanding & experience of product development.
- Good understandingexperience of working with off-shore teams.
- Able to coach the client's teams in Agile (Scrum), product backlog creation, story definition & continuous delivery practices.
- Great communications & emotional intelligence skills & capabilities.
- Excellent project and programme management skills and experience.
- Broad software technology background including both developmentC Sharp, C++, HTML, DB, SQL etc.
- Ability to write detailed functional and technical specification documents.
- Ability to build effective working relations with all stakeholder groups from the board down.
- Effective presentation & report writing skills.
- Good level of political awareness, savvygood level of credibility in front of clients with the ability to instill a good level of trust in the client.
