Project Manager (SC Cleared or Eligible for SC)

PROJECT MANAGER - 18 MONTH CONTRACT

CANDIDATES MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR SC/ITAR CLEARANCE (5 YEARS UK RESIDENT, UK/EU PASSPORT)

My client is a leader in the design and development of bespoke imagine solutions for industries such as Space, Defence, Science and Medicine. They are currently working on lots of highly exciting, high profile projects that include medical sensors in treatment of tumours, space telescopes and looking for life elsewhere in the universe!

Due to business growth my client is looking for a commercially focussed and technical Project Manager for their high performance imaging department dealing with imaging technology for Aerospace & Defence, Industrial cameras and sensors, Science and Medical.

The Project Manager will work to deliver sensor based projects and follow best practice methods.

The Project Manager will maintain project plans, milestones, change control, risk plans and they will carry out regular project reviews.

The Project Manager will be involved in supporting plans and bids for sensors based projects and supporting with creating value on new prospects.

The Project Manager will be the main customer interface for sensor projects and responsible for management of customer expectations.

The Project Manager will work closely with subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered within agreed specifications and work plans.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

* A proven track record and an extensive experience in successfully delivering complex product development projects preferably for Space base customers.
* Direct contact, and management of, customers in a science or space based environment
* Experience of management of programme with a significant subcontract content
* Knowledge of the PA tools required for successful delivery of development programmes such as DFMA and FMEA

* Adaptability to changing situation and continuous process improvement applications.

Familiarity/experience of the following would also be a distinct advantage.

* Experience in the management of the development and delivery of imaging sensors
* Experience in the disciplines embracing Research, design, systems, implementation, delivery and Customer Services
