Project Manager (SAP Infrastructure)

OUR WELL-KNOWN INTERNATIONAL CLIENT URGENTLY REQUIRE A SAP INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER TO JOIN THEIR TEAM IN PORT SUNLIGHT ON A CONTRACT BASIS.

Focus on assisting projects with the delivery of any SAP components. This is not at an application level but at an infrastructure level.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Keeping the environment current on SAP INFRASTRUCTURE
- Looking at Kernel upgrades, database upgrades, operational upgrades on mission critical systems
- Stakeholder management
- Due to the criticality of the systems, there will be a lot of very SENIOR STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT, which is a strong skill set you will need.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ESSENTIAL

- SAP - Building and implementing SAP systems and understand the tools sets and how it fits together. Demonstrates a knowledge on what the major components are ie ECC, BW (SAP experience at an application level will not be right)
- Understand the FULL INFRASTRUCTURE STACK, know how to engage with it
- Know what TSA does and understand it
- IBM platform (as this toolset is used onsite)
- STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT - ability to direct directors, present in the right way, clear on what you are doing, and gaining stakeholder approval
- Attention to detail: There will be 1000's production systems so they need to keep all of them relevant, which means you will need to keep the detail on all of them otherwise things will go wrong.

DESIRABLE

- Managing go lives every month- and be willing to work off hrs
- Knowledge of migration
- DB2 experience/knowledge
