OVERVIEW

Our client, one of the UK's largest retail banks, require the services of a Project Manager to i mplementation of a 7 day switching proposition which will provide a current account redirection service to smooth the process of switching current accounts for individuals and small businesses whilst increasing competition. Providing this service will become a mandatory requirement for all Payment Council members who offer current accounts.

CORE DUTIES OF THE ROLE:

This person(s) will work in the Retail workstream of the Groupwide switching proposition to assist in capture and delivery of requirements across multiple business units and channels. The role requires an individual with strong communication and training experience along with strong interpersonal skills.

CORE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- To ensure a common understanding of the business needs and the project deliverables.
- Co-ordinate and/or contribute to the design, development and specification of new/revised processes and systems, documentation, training materials, etc
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all project deliverables
- Develop and maintains effective working relationships with appropriate colleagues in own and other business units, ensuring key stakeholders are identified and effectively managed
- Aid with the creation of project plans. Ensure that business and IT plans align in conjunction with the IT Project Manager
- Manage, track and mitigate allocated risks and issues, ensuring that they remain fit for purpose throughout the project, spotting opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the review of project documentation that is produced (eg Feasibility Studies, Functional Specifications)
- Identify and assess dependencies and put in place and manage dependency agreements
- Assist in understanding and managing the test strategy of the Retail element of the programme
- Assist and plan the Implementation Approach across both the Retail element of the solution into a Group-wide programme
- Track and monitor changes to the baselined requirements from Industry & Retail, plus manage traceability
- Analytical skills-Ability to present results in the required format and ability to communicate results to a wider audience if necessary
- Previous banking strong stakeholder management
- Considers the full needs of all stakeholders and considers the impact of the recipient of the changes they are leading and takes appropriate action to engage end users in the development and implementation planning
- Proven experience of working through challenges, identifying and considering alternative solutions and making recommendations based upon sound judgements
- Successfully delivered medium/high complexity projects
- Experience in testing desirable
