PROJECT MANAGER - RETAIL BANKING - HALIFAX - £360PD

Digital - retail banking - telephony

My client requires a Project Manager to join their change management team based in Halifax for a 6 month contract. Multi-channel Architecture is a programme designed to implement common processes across Branch, Telephony and Digital, giving customers and colleagues a consistent experience across products and channels that is effective and efficient.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- This particular role is a Lead Project Manager leading the current implementation activities for CCTM on Multi-channel Architecture (MCA) Phase 2 and to subsequent MCA developments.
- Programme/Project Set Up and Closure: Feeds into business study/programme proposals and business cases, ensuring alignment with business strategy; agreement of project benefits; and how these will be measured and tracked post implementation
- Works with the business area to ensure an effective approach to business implementation, handover, and acceptance of the change
- Governance and Reporting: Works closely with the Programme Leads to provide regular status reporting appropriately to different stakeholders
- Define and implement a detailed delivery approach for each stage of the project life cycle, obtain acceptance and buy in to the approach from all team members, and produce and own project management deliverables, using established project methodologies, to the right level of quality
- Control, manage and monitor project timescales and budgets, reporting variances, escalating as appropriate to overcome delays, difficulties or cost over-runs, and re-forecasting where necessary
- Stakeholder Management: Identifies key project stakeholders and develops an appropriate stakeholder communication plan
- Engages with a diverse group of stakeholders to influence direction of projects to meet the project milestones
- Continuously monitors projects for risk issues and regulatory compliance and takes appropriate steps to mitigate.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

- Experience of leading a range of significant projects, working with third party suppliers and managing stakeholders
- Be able glean information from SMEs in a challenging and sensitive environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills, manage stakeholders at various levels
- Attention to detail
- Be able to work on owns initiative as well as part of a team

RATE: £360pd

LOCATION: Halifax

DURATION: 6 months +

START DATE: ASAP
