Project Manager - Retail Banking - Credit Cards Marketing - Bristol

My client, a leading UK Retail Bank, are currently recruiting for an accomplished Project Manager to join a major Cards programme in one of their Bristol offices.

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

The bank's Credit Cards business has identified a number of Group Strategic Initiatives (GSIs) for 2014 and 2015. Successful and timely delivery of these initiatives requires immediate mobilisation and completion of Implementation phase in Q3/4 2014 by the Customer Insights team.

CORE SKILLS

- An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced marketing strategy manager to join the Customer Insight function of a leading Financial Services provider.
- Customer Insight provides a Centre of Excellence for marketing and analysis across UK Retail, Wealth & International and provides highly actionable customer insight and marketing expertise to drive  sustained commercial advantage for the Group.
- Reporting into the Senior Strategy Manager, Unsecured Lending, you will work closely with the Credit Card product, Marketing and Customer Insight teams to bring together all relevant information to formulate a  data-driven, customer-centric below-the-line plan which meets pre-agreed commercial objectives.  You will be expected to coordinate the delivery of all below-the-line activities to agreed timescales and ensure that adequate measurement is in place to monitor performance.
- This is a specialist role where the role holder will combine advanced strategic planning with excellent people & stakeholder management skills.  You  will have a good understanding of marketing practices and a track record of delivering results by working with stakeholders and offering solutions & recommendations. In return you will have the opportunity to contribute to significant projects within one of the UK's leading Financial Services providers.

Note: frequent travel to Cardiff required

The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong communication skills which enable others to understand complex specialist terminology
- Excellent planning and organisational skills and experience of managing complex and varied workloads
- Experience of applying strategic thinking to achieve business objectives
- Business partnering, stakeholder management skills and experience
- An excellent understanding of Financial Services ideally, with expert knowledge and extensive experience in Credit Cards or at least one other financial services product
- Good knowledge of below-the-line Marketing and best practice

DESIRABLE SKILLS

All of the above skills are Core to the Role - Credit Cards experience is desirable
