SKILLS: RETAIL BANKING - CHANNEL CHANGE - HALIFAX - £500.00/DAY

Our client a leading retail bank requires the services of a project manager to assist with driving  changes across their banking channels. This includes Branch, Telephony and Digital channels. This is all being done with a view to giving customers and colleagues a consistent experience, across products and channels that is effective & efficient, that reduces the potential for error by increasing the Straight Through experience, reducing the number of touch points per transaction and requirement for process hand offs to Back Office

Purpose of the role
You will be expected to shape and lead the delivery of a project or programme Workstream from initiation through to handover to BAU. Demonstrating full ownership for the development and delivery of the project plan including stakeholder management at all levels and full risk and issue management

- Lead, manage & motivate the project team (internal colleagues, contractors) to ensure delivery of the project
- Lead, motivate, develop and appraise team members, so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business.
- Develop ideas for and specify proposals, plans and requirements for project/programme work, preparing and delivering reports or presentations to senior/executive management to obtain approval and sponsorship.
- Establishes a project structure, governance & communication process to escalate, manage and resolve risks and issues, ensuring that business benefits are achieved and that in effective working practices are challenged.
- A proven track record of delivering the IT components of major projects to time, cost, quality and benefits realisation requirements
- Establish, control and monitor project timescales and budgets, considering dependencies and recommending and/or taking appropriate action to overcome delays, difficulties or cost over-runs.
- Proven ability to assimilate, understand and manage problem solving and opportunities recognition in the context of IT Infrastructure and/or Application change solution concept, solutioning, design and deployment in a major financial services environment.
- 5+ years of successfully delivering a range of complex, high profile projects. 
- Proven track record of implementing & leading improvements in project life cycle. 
- Able to identify projects at risk and take appropriate action to recover, often working across divisional boundaries. 
- Qualification (or equivalent experience) in management and/or formal project/programme management qualification.
- Implementing an appropriate quality management system
