PROJECT MANAGER (PROFESSIONAL - PROGRAM MANAGER NON-IT)
The candidate's aim is to lead, drive project progress and deliver solutions for global client in the financial/banking industry, which fulfils the regulatory requirements set by various global regulators regarding anti-money laundering (AML).
EXPERIENCE:
The person has to have a min. work experience of 9 years (ideal would be more than 12 years) in managing comparable projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive the required changes within the CCRO Chief Operating Officer, Financial Crimes Compliance, IT and operations team as well as coordinate related organizations
- Manage the program progress and taking responsibility for reporting, dependencies and financials
- You partner with senior stakeholders and lead a group of work stream leads
- Liaise with other departments where alignments and dependencies arise

Plan project delivery, provide status updates and advance, where appropriate
OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM (TEAM SIZE, BACKGROUNDS, PERSONALITIES ):
The project team is part of the bid data and analytics department within the COO area of compliance. The program team is about 35 people with backgrounds in financial crimes compliance, legal, mathematics, computer science, econometrics and many other disciplines. Many team members hold PhDs and some are holding additional professional designations in finance or compliance. The delivery speed is high (days and weeks rather than weeks or months) and everyone is constantly looking for ways to improve.
CHALLENGES CONTRACTOR WILL BE FACING IN THIS ROLE:
The delivery speed is high, the candidate will need to meet tight deadlines
ESSENTIALS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Consistent track record (more than 5 years) as a senior project manager
- Knowledge of Oracle Mantas and Actimize Case Manager systems
- Excellent presentation and communication to senior stakeholders,
- Ability to work under pressure, high level of flexibility and ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
- Fluent in English
- University degree in business administration, legal or technology & science related fields
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Research project delivery or start-up experience is an advantage
- C-Level communication experience is a plus
- Experience in the field of financial crimes compliance and anti-money laundering, professional designations such as CFA or FRM are an advantage
- German is an advantage
