URGENT - Project Manager/Product Manager (Fixed Term Contract - 18 Months)
*Must be experienced in Product Development - within FS
(£45,000-£50,000) Birmingham

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing and exciting organisation. They are a leader in their field of expertise and have a dominant presence across the insurance markets they work within. The projects you will be working on will seek to strengthen the organisation within their core market.

The ideal candidate MUST have the following

*Project Manager - with Product Development experience (within Financial Services).
*Experienced in "end-to-end" Product Delivery, across the whole life cycle.
*Experienced in the Product Development of - ISA's and Pensions etc.

The project manager has responsibility for the following;
*Understanding the specific scope of each project and ensuring the appropriate project team and structure is mobilised to ensure its timely and successful delivery.
*Ensuring the project life cycle is followed and all governance requirements are adhered to (including the effective identification and mitigation of project risks).
*Developing detailed plans and adopting appropriate management processes to track project progress and for the early identification of issues and any necessary countermeasures.
*Building strong relationships with the project sponsor and all other key stakeholders and ensuring timely communication throughout the project.
*Promoting the sharing and development of 'best practice' in project management techniques and ensuring 'lessons learned' are captured through effective reflection on project performance.

Experience sought

*Proven experience of delivering projects in a financial services environment and serving multiple stakeholders.
*Background in organisations of a similar size and structure.
*Direct responsibility for projects with individual budgets ranging from £100k to £1.5m (this project is likely to be £1.5m+)
*Ability to manage one or more projects concurrently, successfully managing different priorities.
*Experience managing projects involving high net worth clients/markets.

Essential Skills

*Appropriate professional qualifications, minimum standard APMP or PRINCE2
*Following and upholding the Society's project life cycle and governance procedures.
*Managing resource, budgets and multiple stakeholders across the project and other key business areas.
*Promoting the Change Team and its role in the successful delivery of the Society's projects.
