OVER VIEW:
The pace of change within financial services is at an unprecedented level across the industry and from all jurisdictions. Much of this regulatory change impacts and will be sponsored and led by the Risk Division. The Chief Risk Officer and his/her management team recently conducted a review to assess the Change capabilities required within Risk to deliver the challenging and extensive book of work over the next 3-5 years. Following this review, a number of key new programme and project roles have been identified within the CRO Change organization.
ROLE:
As Project Manager, you are responsible for defining, leading and managing the delivery of large and complex change projects and initiatives for your program.
Job Responsibilities:
-Drive overall risk delivery stream with in front to back program
-Manage off-shore BA and testing team
-Attend weekly governance calls (design, working group, control etc.)
-Allocate resources and oversee analysis tasks
-Report status to various governance committees
-Manage monthly budget submission
-Resolve interdepartmental analysis issues
-Drive design, documentation, change request sign-off
-Senior stakeholders management
-Manage project materials; look at project plans, risks, issues management tools
-Provide guidance and recommendations when required
-Propose new initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the programme
-Ensure deliverables meet required quality standards
-Develop and maintain a Communications Plan
-Produce progress and other management reports
Required Skills:
-Minimum 5 years project management experience
-Strong business knowledge of the Banking Industry and/or Financial Services
-Some experience or background with banking book products, since have to deal with an external vendor
-Significant experience of embedding risk management in a complex organisation
-Strong understanding of Regulator delivery programs, ideally in Risk and Finance
-Good understanding of market and credit risk data and processes
-Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and people
-Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, concise manner
-Excellent organisational, problem solving, leadership, written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have:
-Strong project management skills and proven successful front to back programme delivery
-Experience with managing off-shore team
-Achieving results - be aware of key risk objectives, and ensure these are applied appropriately to all activities
-Building relationships - able to develop effective relationships with risk function staff, and be recognized as providing a supporting role
-Project and Change management/Coordination experience
-Experience working with and reporting to senior stakeholders across financial and operational functions of the business
-Knowledge of full project life cycle
-Keep yourself updated with the risk culture
Education:
-Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
-PMI or PMP certification preferred.
LANGUAGES: EXCELLENT English and Other Languages is nice to have.
