Project Manager - NHS - Public Sector - Neurology

THE ROLE

The successful Project Manager will deliver a National Community Neurology Project which aims to establish a collaborative that brings together key organisations who will stimulate the delivery of person-centred coordinated care for people with neurological conditions by encouraging the adoption of community based care models.

The deliverables of the project will be to;

REPRESENTATION AND GOVERNANCE:

- Establish a key stakeholder list in order to put together the collaborative
- Establish Collaborative governance and management structure and terms of reference
- Benchmarking:
- Mapping good practice across England (plus international examples).
- Map current sources of data to identify gaps
- To produce a national and CCG level neurology recommended dataset for primary care which supports effective neurology commissioning

NEW MODELS OF CARE:

- Develop a range of community neurology care models appropriate to varying geographies across England
- Develop a portfolio of tools to help commissioners to secure appropriate care for their populations
- To ensure that community neurology care is commissioned in line with best practice guidance
- Project Manager (8b) responsibilities:
- Establish Collaborative governance and management structure and terms of reference
- Manage and administrate the collaborative
- Work internally and externally to deliver the project to time and in a cost effective way.
- To support the identification and sharing of best practice in employee engagement.
- To operate in a highly political and sensitive environment.
- Support the portfolio of work streams in delivering:

- Mapping good practice across England (plus international examples).
- Map current sources of data to identify gaps
- To produce a national and CCG level neurology recommended dataset for primary care which supports effective neurology commissioning 3.

NEW MODELS OF CARE

- Develop a range of community neurology care models appropriate to varying geographies across England
- Develop a portfolio of tools to help commissioners to secure appropriate care for their populations
- To ensure that community neurology care is commissioned in line with best practice guidance
- -Develop a business case for new models of care with health economic data
- Drafting highlight reports summarising status on issues, appraising outcomes, and providing progress reports for the Collaborative, NHS England and TV SCN directors
- Ensure projects and initiatives are delivered on time, to quality standards and in a cost effective manner, adjusting plans as required.
