Project Manager - Newport

Based in Newport a Project Manager is required on a contract basis to work on a large insurance simplification programme.

Candidates must possess 5 years + project management experience in the banking or financial services sector, ideally within general insurance. Experience in the study to implementation phases of a project (full life cycle). Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels. This opportunity is business change focused and candidates need to demonstrate experience of managing business oriented projects. This is not an IT role however you would be required to work with IT Project Managers.

The aim of the programme is to simplify the claims and services processes and systems within General Insurance. Business cases have been produced for projects due for delivery in 2013 and beyond. You will be required to support the on-going definition and initiation of these projects and be responsible for 1 or more of them. You would be required to run the project(s) end to end including setting up project governance to feed into programme governance and complete all required documentation.

A little travel will be required to other sites.
