Must have skills:

The Scrum Master/Project Manager hired for this leadership position will work with Scrum Teams for the delivery of large, business-critical enterprise software development projects. S/He will coach and facilitate Scrum Teams through the software development life cycle using AGILE, SCRUM, and LEAN methodologies and will also work cross-functionally throughout the company to ensure delivered projects are effectively developed and deployed with quality and on time delivery into our production systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Fulfills the role of the Scrum Master leading 2-3 product development teams through the Agile/Scrum process in the delivery of business critical, enterprise software development projects to our production systems.
- Ensures the Agile/Scrum process is implemented effectively and provides coaching and training at the team level to maximize its benefits.
- Responsible for planning, executing, tracking and managing costs, schedule, and scope for the project.
- Identifies and manages the risks associated with the project.
- Identifies and implements creative solutions to impediments to keep project on track.
- Coordinates with departments and partners towards on-time delivery of the project.
- Facilitates the implementation of software development best practices within the project team.
- Drives the adoption of key engineering practices like Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, etc.
- Improves, and facilitates all project and software development processes to create agreement and alignment with departmental objectives of productivity, timeliness, and quality. Skills as a facilitator, communicator, and chairperson are crucial.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 8+ years experience in Program/Project Management with at least 3 years managing the development of enterprise class software applications
- Strong SDLC management in particular 3+ years with AGILE/SCRUM/XP development
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM) required
- Ability to manage large software development projects with a high degree of competency using SCRUM practices
- Technical understanding of the Java domain and can sufficiently describe technical aspects of previous projects
- Strong knowledge of software development best practices.
- Experience with online/E-commerce, payment processing, and/or financial systems preferred
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- PMI PMP certification or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate a team towards achieving a common goal
- Excellent facilitation skills with ability to coordinate across multiple departments
