PROJECT MANAGER - MORTGAGE TRANSFORMATION - 6 MONTHS - CHESTER

A top retail bank based in Chester currently requires a Project Manager to join a Mortgage Transformation Programme for an initial 6 month period.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Working with the Programme Manager, Project Manager required to:

- Participate in the full project and development life cycle, from requirements capturing and design through to supporting the testing and delivery. In particular, gathering and documenting business requirements; planning and leading workshops; writing up project artefacts and engaging with a wide variety of internal and external (third party) stakeholders
- Ensure Group Change Management Approach is adhered to
- Undertake initial impact assessments, define the scope and deliverables for workstreams
- Plan and monitor workstream, take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action where necessary
- Manage a project RAID log, project plan, resource tracker and feed into regular risk and governance calls
- Feed updates into overall communications plan, stakeholder plan and provide regular updates to key stakeholders
- Be responsible for change control and Lessons Learned reporting and implementation
- Be responsible for overall project governance and administration
- Proactive manage stakeholders and their expectations

KEY SKILLS

- Mortgage Experience including experience of working on commercially sensitive large scale delivery programmes with senior management visibility
- Proven background of working as a Project Manager (ideally from financial services )
- Requires a can do/hands on approach to delivery
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work in a demanding, fast paced environment
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with a commercial bias, a good grasp of business drivers and a pro-active approach to problem solving
- A sound knowledge of project management and associated methodologies, in relation to planning, monitoring and controlling projects throughout their life cycle
- Excellent communication skills, along with the necessary confidence to build senior level relationships and help drive forward a major change programme
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to take ownership and manage own work through to conclusion, escalating issues as appropriate
- Experience in launching internal comms into a commercial business
