Project Manager - Missile Systems

The Deputy Technical Manager (CAMM Safety and Coherence) will manage the technical/safety aspects of the CAMM Missile and overall FLAADS programme coherence, contributing to a programme that will deliver a capable, available, sustainable and safe weapons system that maximises the opportunity to benefit from the principles of commonality and modularity.

This is a high profile multiple Category A programme delivering a major multi-service EPP programme replacing Legacy systems.

Main/Specific Tasks The predominant focus of this role is in the management of relationships with MOD stakeholders and industrial supply chain in order to ensure an appropriate level of governance is applied to the technical solution.

The FLAADS-TM3 incumbent will therefore be responsible for: Lead for the CAMM Safety and Suitability for Service (S3) trials programme and chair of the associated Working Groups; Lead/PoC for CAMM coherence between FLAAD Maritime and FLAADS Land programmes and chair of the associated meetings; Lead for the CAMM and FLAADS Project Safety and Environmental Panels; Lead/PoC for FLAADS Safety Case and Hazard log development; Provide Engineering input into the required external forums; Line Management of graduates/apprentices within the FLAADS Technical Team; Deputise for the FLAADS-TM when required.
