Our Client, a large aerospace engineering organisation is looking for a Project Manager to be based in Wimborne for a 6 month contract. The role provides Project Management leadership to deliver Product Group activities, in compliance with specification, cost and schedule. The projects will be in the region of £10 - 20M and managing multiple programmes. 

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:    

Lead the Product Group, and team assigned to the group. 

Work with Engineering Lead for Product Group. 

Ownership of schedules.  

Monthly Project Reviews with senior managements, including standard reporting pack. 

Ownership of resource demand. 

Lead team meetings, including daily stand up meetings as required.  

Undertake Risk Management - update register, lead risk reviews with team, etc. 

Co-ordinate data preparation and management activities to run the projects in compliance with the Clients Life Cycle Management processes. 

Support the Programme Managers in preparation of programme data to support wider business management needs. 

Work with the members to ensure that internal planning of resources and facilities is effective to support programme delivery and wider business management resource management needs.  

Management of project non- recurring and recurring costs to meet programme EAC (earnings against cost). 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Large complex development projects/programmes.  

Military/defence/aerospace is essential 

Need to understand the difference between programmes & projects.  

Strong development Project Manager, qualification testing & validations, what problems get thrown up, supply chain challenges and drawing packs etc. 

Managing the customer's expectations. Managing the internal team & reporting progress 

QUALIFICATIONS 

MAPM, MSP, Prince II would all show the right kind of level, along with the right industry experience (defence/aerospace) and managing subcontractors/supply chain. 

This role will be working with sensitive data and as such you should be willing to undergo BPSS (Baseline) & Disclosure Scotland Security Vetting before being able to commence the contract. 

Travel may be required within the UK and Overseas.
