Project Manager - Migration and Implementation

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 

My client is a multi-national service provider in the financial sector, looking for Migration and Implementation Managers in the context of rolling out its Global Network Solution to international entities. Client is building out a new network design and consolidates the global supplier of network infrastructure and services. Client aims at significant savings and better performance. The network is rolled out globally in different waves across organizational entities (OEs).

PROJECT TASKS OF FREELANCER: 

The PM has to plan and coordinate the global network migration and implementation with the client's OEs in the USA, often managing 10 to 15 projects at the same time.

PM is accountable for the end-to-end management of the project for the US OE, including the setup in the overall rollout phase, rollout preparation and rollout of the infrastructure at the entity, as well as the handover to the client.

Interfaces with: OE, global  rollout team, carriers/suppliers

Reports to: Client Program Lead and CIO of the respective OE

Further:

- Be central gateway for communication with OE
- Manage the project from setup including base lining, business case signoff and project setup through rollout preparation and rollout (includes client handover)
- Prepare & maintain the project plan for OE, align with local client stakeholders as well as global teams
- Prepare & execute a communication plan for OE
- Manage project, including steering committee meetings, risk and issue management, escalation management, reporting, commercials, etc.
- Manage communication to local Project Team, infrastructure responsible and local CIO, and activities/input for works council
- Ensure that project is completed in time, in scope and in budget
- Manage design, build and test activities that are specific, primarily the OE-specific testing
- Develop, align and manage the migration plan and ensure correct communication, including site surveys, location migration, etc.
- Align the globally defined operations processes with OE

Ensure that contractual agreements (MSA schedules) for the network are signed off for the OE

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION OF FREELANCER: 

- 6+ years experience working within a large IT environment preferably within a financial organization
- Strong functional knowledge of IT and outsourcing activities
- Profound multi-project management experience
- Copes with change, works effectively without having total picture, resolves conflicts quickly and settles disputes equitably
- Knowledgeable about how organizations work and know how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network
- Manages workload in a well-planned and organized manner and provides clear directions for required activities
- Cool under pressure and a settling influence in a crisis
- Does not shirk personal responsibility
- Strong project management capability with deadline focus
- Team-oriented, collaborative environment leadership skills, international working experience
