Project Manager - Master Data Management/Datawarehouse

Prestigious enterprise firm in Chicago seeks a talented Project Manager to lead projects involving Business Intelligence/Data Modeling projects for a 1 year. Contract Engagement.

The Project Manager is responsible for developing project plans, supporting estimates and handling end-to-end project management, from scoping and requirements through implementation and deployment for a highly visible and complex Human Resource initiative.

The Project Manager will execute a data clean up strategy, process/methods, quality assurance/validation plans that address all aspects of cleansing, de-duping, updating, and validating master data that supports Human Resource business processes. The Project Manager is also responsible for managing a detailed project plan to successfully clean up a specific data set.

This individual must be highly organized with attention to detail, self-directed, efficient and able to manage multiple projects in a timely manner and demonstrate exceptional leadership and people management skills.

The Project Manager proactively monitors and manages execution of tasks and creation of deliverables for the data clean up project(s). Oversees and manages all aspects and phase of the project and is responsible for the initial analysis and development of a project plan that will meet the objectives, deliverables and functionality as defined in the data clean up charter.

The project manager is also expected to perform the following activities:

- Scope/cost/risk management
- Project communication
- Integrated project change control
- Schedule management
- Deliverable review
- Budget management
- Provides leadership and management of day-to-day activities of the project team
- Team work, ownership of assigned work and outstanding commitment to excellence is essential for this position.

Required experience:

- 7-10 years with a consulting background, significant experience with data cleansing and/or master data management, Business Intelligence and process design.

Technical Ability

- Deep understanding of Data Models, Operational Data Stores, Data Warehousing and development of Business Intelligence environment
- Document experience with data cleanup and or master data management.
- Understands system and process implications related to data clean up in a multi system environment.
