In addition, the Project Manager will be responsible for: * Responsible for the management of a variety of projects * Report and interface with Project Director * Manage individual projects to time and budget * Identify and mitigate project risks * Collate / produce progress & project reports and aid in decision making * Meet with clients to report on progress and ensure projects are in line with client expectations * Assign tasks to design/engineers/department * Compile and issue of sub-contract orders through procurement department * Ensure that project related documentation is complete, accurate and up-to-date * Travel to client/customer and manage/communicate/present project specifics sometimes overseas * Engaging with Workshop Management or with the Operations team off shore Experience-wise, my client is looking for a Project Manager with experience of the following for the Project Manager role: Essential * Have a proven Managerial / Project background * Be comfortable working independently on complex and varied problems * Have a sound knowledge of engineering principles + strong mechanical / electrical engineering skills * At ease dealing directly with customers and contractors * Comfortable with maintaining and controlling project documentation, costs and procedures * Focused on delivering to tight deadlines and specifications * Capable of reacting to changes + willing to go the extra mile to deliver quality products * Relevant experience in an appropriate marine / engineering field * Effectively identify and communicate critical tasks and key risks * An appropriate engineering degree or time served trade background Desirable * Familiarly with international Quality and Safety standards * Be familiar with working to marine and defence standards * Marine/Subsea/offshore/defence background * Previous experience of commercially sensitive projects + the security aspects this entails * Be flexible and available to travel worldwide in support of project activities. * Full clean driving licence For the successful Project Manager, a salary of between £40,000 - £45,000 (Flex) is on offer & this Project Manager role is commutable from Renfrew, Glasgow, Clyde & Paisley.
