Project Manager (Manufacturing Processes)

Our Oxfordshire based client is seeking to appoint a Project Manager for an immediate start. This role is NOT suitable for candidates from an IT or business change projects background. Our client is looking for someone who is from a manufacturing industry background. More specifically their preference is to appoint someone from an injection moulding product production background.

Candidates who have worked for companies that produce consumer goods (eg vacuum cleaners, fans, food blenders etc) or complex packaging products would be ideal for this role. Strong familiarity with the full life cycle manufacturing process of 'light to medium' engineered products is what is required.

You will be part of the clients programme management function and your duties will be varied. In the first instance you work closely with other Project Managers to relieve small project bottle necks, then later you will be responsible for putting production facilities into place that will enable the production of new products. This will include duties such as validating tooling requirements for the manufacturing process.

The successful candidate is expected to have at least 3 years relevant project management experience within relevant industries. You will also be conversant with project management methodologies eg Prince.
