Project Manager (Manufacturing) Job

PROJECT MANAGER needed for an CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in AVON, MA. (Please note, this is not an IT position, we are looking for Manufacturing Individuals.)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Project Manager is a member of the Project Management team and works as the lead for cross-functional business projects.
- Works in conjunction with assigned Project Coordinator to manage mid-level scope projects and all their associated schedules, financials, administration and customer interaction requirements.
- Essential Responsibilities:
- Acts as primary customer contact for the duration of each project through commissioning; resolves specification issues; handles correspondence; provides periodic updates; ensures customer satisfaction; negotiates/coordinates with Sales staff as appropriate for customer-requested changes (price and delivery); arranges witness tests; coordinates field service activities with appropriate Service Manager; manages contract and terms
- Manages and reports all financial aspects of the project including budgets, costs, margin, invoicing, and receivable collection; promotes change order growth; provides estimate-at-completion forecasts
- Develops and maintains project schedule, critical control points
- Supports the Supply Chain, Sourcing and Engineering teams as required to ensure overall project health
- Ensures project R3 process is enacted completely and accurately at time of ITO project handoff
- Directs and administers project-related activities to ensure that projects are completed on-time, within internal and external quality/specification requirements; follows GE Quality and QMS procedures
- Facilitates project closeout reports and Project Review meetings
- Provides leadership and direction to other functions within the project team
- Participates in the ITO proposal process on large or high-risk projects, as required
- Implements continuous improvement through Six Sigma quality; seeks out and champions Lean processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS in Engineering or Business with five (5+) years in a Project Management role. Strong preference for a manufactured products environment background.
- Experience with Oracle ERP (PM, Order Mgt) exposure
- Strong comfort level with MS Office especially Excel.
- Exposure to Project Management University (PMU) training modules is helpful but not absolutely necessary.
- Six Sigma is desired.
- Heavy documentation skills and engineering coordination. Some products may be manufactured in overseas factories. An ability to manage multi-site fulfillment is important.
