Project Manager Job

PROJECT MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in UNIVERSAL CITY, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsibility for the successful planning and execution of projects for Parks Technology.
- Work closely with the operations, solutions delivery, infrastructure, innovation, governance and security teams, business partners, and vendors to define, develop, and execute deployment of their assigned projects.
- Ensures that the deployment of projects to the production environment follows the approved Parks Technology project life cycle methodology and successfully meets the business goals.
- Provide feedback of established Project Management methodologies and input to improve best practices.
- Use established project management tools to report project statuses for IT dashboards and reports.
- Work directly with Parks Technology management and participate in regular resource planning meetings to secure project resources.
- Work closely with all Parks Technology teams, business partners, and Vendors to plan, organize, secure, and manage resources for assigned project efforts following software development life cycle and project implementation policies and procedures as applicable.
- Work with the Parks Technology teams and management to identify solutions that enable the organization to achieve its project goals.
- Independently research, analyze, identify, and document the tasks to achieve the project goals.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and lead project team meetings to accomplish project deliverables.
- Responsible for the management of the project including; work statements, work breakdown structures, developing and tracking budget and schedule, tracking individual project tasks, providing risk analysis, tracking and resolving issues and action items, planning and oversight of requirements gathering, coordination of quality assurance, providing various project management visibility.
- Perform requirements and quality assurance as needed.
- Work closely with our business partners to understand their business and system problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements.
- Analyze, define and map business processes.
- Produce quality documentation and business process models as needed for assigned projects.
- Trace the requirements through life cycle of the project to ensure that the scope is managed and that the original requirements are delivered.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required; major in MIS, Technology or Business or related field preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of related work experience in IT project management, business analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to effectively use MS Project, Visio, Office (ie Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Willingness to travel and or work weekends with short notice.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- PMP certification preferred
- Knowledge of project management concepts and processes, requirements gathering, or business analysis
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals and procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw graphs, and interpret spreadsheets.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to build and lead a team in completing a project.
- Minimal travel possible to support Parks Technology division and client locations.
- Sound business judgment in coordinating the requirements of the user group(s) for a project.
- Conflict resolution and problem solving techniques.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication and negotiation skills.
