SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Thousand Oaks, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Sr. Project Manager provides project management support and leadership to the E2E SC workstreams, sub-workstreams and teams, and is accountable to the PMO lead his/her workstream lead/s
- The Sr. Project Manager must apply project management best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of workstream projects, according to the defined PM methodology and AFP program framework
- Workstream and Sub-workstream Management: provide operational leadership in workstream and sub-workstream meetings and identify issues, risks and inter-dependencies
- Elevate issues to the PMO lead and workstream lead as needed, and work to overcome obstacles
- Ensure all views are heard; assist workstream and sub-workstream leaders in the development of plans, updates to plans, and management of the process to ensure successful planning and implementation
- Translate workstream and sub-workstream plans into actionable and measurable tasks. Follow up on action items from team meetings. Establish and achieve project standards for work quality and quantity
- Drive effective operations for his/her workstreams and sub-workstreams, including: creation of deliverables and communication materials; setting up and facilitating review meetings; planning, facilitating and following up on workshops; etc.
- Workstream and Sub-workstream Deliverables: Ensure adherence to the AFP framework (eg review Gates and Deliverables) and governance processes at the workstream and sub-workstream level
- Assist in the development/update of key deliverables, eg org charts, process maps, valuations, implementation plans, dashboards, and change management
- Risk Management: coordinate workstream-level risk assessments; proactively drive development of contingency and/or risk-mitigation plans
- Strategic Thinking: ensure strategic alignment between the E2E SC Core Team and PMO and his/her workstreams and sub-workstreams
- Actively participate in executive reviews and discussions (Initiative Steering Committee (ISC), Results Delivery Office (RDO), etc.) and follow up on action-items as needed
- Actively participate in E2E SC Core Team and PMO meetings and discussions, and follow up on action-items as needed
- Communication: Ensure that all goals and objectives of his/her workstream and sub-workstreams are well understood by the various relevant stakeholders

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS/MS degree with five (5) years plus experience in project management (PMP preferred)
- Industry experience (Biotech, Pharmaceutical and/or Healthcare; min of five (5) years)
- Functional experience in Operations (manufacturing, supply chain, quality or process development
