Project Manager IT - Senior

For this contract opportunity, you will provide Project Management with a team that provides support for Debit Processing Services for the world's leading financial services corporation. The team focuses on projects that protect core business/brand, deliver cost efficiencies, and increase corporate effectiveness through the use of standardized project management practices and decisive leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead the implementation of complex information technology solutions across the enterprise.
- Overall responsibility for multiple, moderately complex budgets with variable scope, budget, and duration.
- Develop and sustain relationship with customers on internal, regional, and/or global shared/funded projects.
- Manage project team, define scope, develop and manage project plans and project budgets.
- Direct activities, project objectives, risk management, change control processes, project communications and ensure project compliance with the Project Management Methodology (PMM); direct cross-organizational coordination as required.
- Accountable for overall planning and direction of projects typically requiring the utilization of resources both within the project team as well as coordinating resources outside the team.
- Leverage experience, demonstrate initiative and exercise good judgment in managing complex situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 5 to 8 years proven experience in managing projects to successful completion
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, business, information technology or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- PMP CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- Previous experience managing technology implementations within a highly matrixed corporate environment
- Broad and in-depth knowledge and experience in project management including risk, budget and vendor management
- Strong process orientation; solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices
- Ability to influence without direct authority to achieve necessary goals
- Ability to analyze and organize a plan based upon available information
- Ability to develop project schedules, status reports and identify project risks
- Ability to delegate project tasks and ensure successful task completion
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project or similar project management software
- Demonstrated knowledge of/experience with Debit Processing Services and/or Security areas a plus

Duration of assignment is expected to be 50 weeks.
