Project Manager IT - Senior

This candidate will join the Corporate IT Project Management Office (PMO) and will be responsible for successful project delivery while working with matrixed teams comprised of all ranges of technical and business personnel. A successful candidate must be PMP certified and have significant IT Project Management experience and superb business-facing communication skills. The ability to manage outsourced development vendors and work effectively with multiple business partners is required. Payment industry experience is a definite plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience leading technical teams in the delivery of software development, operational and integration efforts
- Must be PMP-certified (no exceptions)
- Undergraduate degree in technical or business discipline required or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred
- Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems preferred
- Demonstrable experience in managing several concurrent medium-scale high profile projects with extensive executive stakeholder participation
- Experience in facilitating multi-tiered project governance processes
- Expertise in Microsoft Project 2010 schedule management including understanding the role of robust WBS's
- Proficient in the use of other Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of mature business requirements traceability processes
- Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices.
- Strategic thinking and the proven ability to engage and influence senior and executive management
- Strong at collecting information and record management
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, including ability to communicate effectively with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization
- Independent judgment and mature decision-making skills to deal with projects that often have enterprise-wide scope and may have significant financial and compliance implications and impact
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills; ability to think strategically
- Well-honed influencing skills; ability to negotiate and gain consensus between organizations where competing priorities exist

- Demonstrated leadership qualities including flexibility and adaptability to changes in roles and responsibility as required

Duration of assignment is expected to be 9 months with possible extension to 1 year.
