PROJECT MANAGER IT SECURITY (ANTI-VIRUS) INVESTMENT BANKING

A project manager is required to manage the global upgrade of end-of-life antivirus software and hardware components and infrastructure. This role entails managing a global project team and communicating to stakeholders across different time zones and geographies.

Duties of the project manager include:

- Capturing requirements of the project from within and external to Security IT
- Determining the scope of the project and associated work packages
- Working with technical engineers, SME's and technical architects to ensure the anti-virus solution is documented and the current and target state architecture is understood and agreed
- Mobilizing the project team and assigning and tracking work packages, activities, issues and risks
- Managing financials and the project budget
- Compiling project snapshots and communicating project updates to management, governance and steering committees
- Assisting with defining process flows and operational models, including RACIs, etc. to help compile a governance framework for the service
- Working closely with the Service Manager and Product Manager for the anti-virus solution to gather requirements for the target state and perform a gap analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Working with the project team to map the current solution and ensure all AV products are identified and understood where improvements are required or where solutions present a risk and require addressing
- Coordinating with infrastructure services and other teams outside of Security IT to ensure dependencies are resolved and requirements are met

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- At least 6+ years experience managing technical global projects in large organizations
- Experience managing global infrastructure technical projects in a distributed environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills to analyse complex problems, develop solutions, and build consensus around those solutions
- Ability to work across time zones, hierarchy levels, and cultures
- Assertiveness, can-do attitude, attention to detail, ability to work independently, fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Stakeholder management skills and strong communication skills
- Basic understanding of infrastructure components and networks - able to articulate complex topics in a meaningful way
- Basic understanding and appreciation of security components and solutions

DESIRABLE:

- PMP or equivalent certification
- IT Security background or experience, specifically with enterprise anti-virus solution
