This candidate will join the Corporate IT Project Management Office (PMO) and will be responsible for successful project delivery while working with matrixed teams composed of Systems Analysis, Vendor, Development, QA, Operations, and Business personnel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- PMP Certification required
- 5+ years of project management experience required, preferably using formal project management methodologies
- Experience with payments systems or billing applications a plus
- Proven experience in managing people, processes, and projects in a heavily matrixed organizational structure required
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in the delivery of large-scale software development, operational, and integration efforts
- Working knowledge of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration
- Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience with managing multiple concurrent projects
- Team player: ability to work with other PMs in a supporting role to manage larger project efforts

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Jointly manage multiple large projects with other project managers; independently own and manage multiple small to medium-sized projects, including change requests, etc.
- Read and understand detailed business and technical requirements.
- Manage requirements traceability matrixes to track requirements progression through various SDLC phases.
- Identify key stakeholders and work to achieve project objectives.
- Create detailed project schedules, Gantt charts, critical paths, etc.
- Regularly monitor and report on project progress. Manage project status reports, issues, action items, risks, change logs, internal and external dependencies, etc.
- Follow up on issues and action items, moving them towards resolution.
- Facilitate project status meetings, requirements and design discussions, and defect status reviews.
- Coordinate the project estimating process; manage project budgets and forecasts.
- Work with vendors to develop, review, and execute contracts.
- Develop innovative methods to effectively manage project constraints.
- Own and manage project SharePoint sites, Project Work Books (PWB), and project communication plans.
