My tier 1 Investment Banking client is looking to follow a couple of others by setting up a Front Office driven, internally owned, management consultancy division - likely to be formed of both ex-management consultants and high level business change Investment Banking professionals. Cost saving is obviously part of the agenda, but this is more about formulating an internally owned team who are totally dedicated to all the business change and target operating model change programmes going on in the bank both now and in the future. This team will reside in the Front Office as virtually all the programmes will be Front Office driven. You need solid un-broken Investment banking experience (direct or via a consultancy - big 4/5 or niche) in the last 4-5 years. You will be charged in owning and running projects of work in a consulting manner - offering ideas, strategies and business options as to how projects may be approached in terms of delivery. You will need to work out who your COO/MD/D level stakeholders are and run projects from conception stage to delivery. You will partner along side the business stakeholders advising on impacts to the business locally, globally etc. and also the impacts on other business areas affected by the projects you are working on. You will need to provide solutions and approaches to projects.

Essential candidate requirements;

Solid Investment Banking experience in the last 4-5 years; Front Office facing project experience; Broad Asset Class knowledge; A structured project approach; Long term contract or permanent previous roles (ie not movement every 6-12 months)

Consultancy background

Essential requirements are that you have recently worked on projects in any of the following;

Strategic Controls; Increasing Operational Efficiency through improved Operating Model; Regulatory Compliance (Volcker, Vickers, Dodd Frank, EMIR etc.); Information sec/Access Management; KYC/AML; Collateral Optimisation; Asset Class merging; Offshoring/Outsourcing; Personnel redundancy programmes/Internal moves; Record Retentions; Propriety Trading; BPR/BPM - business process change specialists

What is offered to the successful candidates;

Good contract lengths (contracts of 3+ years will likely be on offer to those successful); An chance to also be offered work in the Wealth Management division should you wish; Projects which will the hot topics' affecting all the of the Investment Banking world and therefore you will be exposed to the most attractive project work in the market.
