PROJECT MANAGER - INTERIM (POSSIBILITY TO PERM LATER)

Collinson Insurance Group (CIG) is a subsidiary of The Collinson Group. We have a long history in the travel insurance market, and have developed and diversified through a combination of organic growth and acquisition. Today, CIG has retail, wholesale, underwriting, claims and assistance interests in the UK, mainland Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for someone to work directly for the Managing Director, David Evans, to ensure delivery of two key projects over the next 12 to 18 months - the strategic upgrade plan for CIG, which consists of the consolidation of systems and platforms, website upgrades and second and very importantly - the integration of a large acquisition into CIG. Working in an ever changing environment, you will ensure projects are managed to deadlines. For the right candidate, there is a strong possibility that this role could turn into a permanent opportunity if desired, although we are looking for the right person, so are keen to hear from career or those seeking interim to perm.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Take the lead, own and deliver to budget and timescale the integration of two Insurance companies according to the vision of the MD
- Ensure delivery of the outstanding upgrade plan within agreed constraints of budget and timescale
- Liaise with all accountable heads in various departments to ensure deadlines are adhered to and any issues are resolved by regular meetings
- Create status reports showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.
- Collect, understand, and transmit the business requirements for projects, and translating these into project and test plans.

THE PERSON:

You will be a charismatic and dynamic project manager and will:

- Strong experience in change management projects and Integrations
- Able to deal with ambiguity
- Be able to write concise project documents for signoff from Senior Management
- Be able to communicate and work with all levels of the business
- Have end to end experience of the full project life cycle
- Be able to identify issues and solve problems in a logical manner
- Hold a Prince 2 or equivalent qualification
- Ideally have experience of the Insurance or financial services industry

A competitive basic salary of above 55K according to your experience, with 25 days holiday and benefits including a contributory pension, private medical insurance and discounted travel.

The position is based in Devonshire Square in the heart of the City.
