Project Manager - Infrastructure Compliance

DESCRIPTION

Mansion House Consulting is hiring an INFRASTRUCTURE COMPLIANCE PROJECT MANAGER IN NYC to work onsite at our Tier One Banking client.    

- Location: NYC
- Duration: 6months +, with rolling renewals

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES

The Optimization Compliance Project Manager will work with application teams to review client's physical server inventory with a view to decommissioning, virtualizing or transforming the non-compliant infrastructure components in line with client policies.

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

- Previous experience with the following:
- Working as an Infrastructure PM in a Banking/Financial/Insurance environment preferable
- Conducting reviews with a view to optimizing physical/non- compliant/inefficient/underutilized infrastructure environment
- Using industry tools to determine right sized virtual or new hardware environments
- Gathering application requirements and translating into infrastructure environment design
- Deploying the most efficient infrastructure footprint possible
- Working with technical resources to understand application setup and devise/plan migration strategies
- Scheduling and managing migration windows
- Tracking multiple infrastructure related projects  
- Knowledge of network terminology and protocols
- Knowledge of Front Office applications is desirable
- EXPERIENCE WITH SOME OF ALL OF THE FOLLOWING TECHNOLOGIES: SOLARIS, WINDOWS, SLES, ORACLE (HARDWARE AND DATABASE), HP, EMC SAN, VMWARE VIRTUALISATION
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
