We are looking for a Project Manager to join our thriving team. The successful candidate must have a willingness to adopt and adapt new processes and systems. The successful candidate will ideally have a strong understanding of banking core systems.

The Project Manager will be required to produce high level reports for senior management and to present to management as required. Strong relationships with senior managers are essential in all key areas of the role and the knowledge to seek and gain assistance where and when it is required.

The successful applicant must demonstrate good team management and will look to continually develop the team they work with

Key Skills

1. Strong knowledge of basic IT packages including Word, Advanced Excel and Powerpoint.
2. Strong knowledge of banking core processing systems would be a benefit but not essential as full training will be given
3. Experience of managing teams and adapting processes essential.
4. Attention to detail and excellent data capture skills.
5. Ability to work with people at all levels and to maintain key relationships across the business area.
6. Ability to work take ownership of issues and work under own initiative.
7. Must be able to delegate.

As well as planning, co-ordinating, supporting, running and managing the project the most frequent duties, not in order of importance

1. Project Definition
2. Business Analysis and requirements gathering
3. Stakeholder Management
4. Provide timely reports to the Senior Project Manager and project sponsors/stakeholders
5. Project planning and monitoring
6. Budgetary control, change control, issue and risk management
7. Business case preparation
8. Comply with Group Audit requirements
9. Determine and adhere to project time scales
10. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the business, particularly the senior staff who will usually be the project sponsors or senior users
11. Develop relationships and understanding of other Group IT functions

The candidate must have proven successful Project Management skills, with Prince 2 or equivalent desirable.

EXPERIENCE IN A BANKING ENVIRONMENT ESSENTIAL.
