Project Manager - Futures and Options Knowledge Required

Allegis Global Solutions are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Project Manager to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. Joining a new team that has been set up to help RBS fulfil the new EMIR regulations to report all trades to the FCA you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:

- Daily Management of Futures EMIR Transaction reporting team
- Adherence to appropriate RBS Policies, procedures and escalation
- Liaison to Front Office and IT business partners for ongoing support and development of this new function
- Support introduction of the new regulations whilst ensuring the control framework remains effective and robust
- Retain an awareness of Industry initiatives to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our clients, regulators and business
- Develop and implement new Operating procedures as required. Ensure the maintenance of Procedures and escalation documents to ensure they remain current, effective and appropriate.
- Management of day to day issues including escalation to business compliant with documented procedures and policies
- Liaison with 3rd party clients to provide service and handle items that have been escalated

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

- Strong background in Futures and Options Operations leading teams
- Full understanding of the product specifications across the relevant exchanges and CCPs.
- Solid experience of project/programme management.
- Robust PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Be able to work in a fast pace environment to support volatile markets and tight deadlines
- Experience of investigations in any financial markets area
- Experience of adhering to external regulatory requirements
