Project Manager - Financial Services

Our client a leading financial services organisation and is a seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic Senior Project Manager to join their team based in Sydney for a 6 month contract with extensions.
The role will have full budget and schedule control within the constraints presented by the project board. The successful applicant will also be expected to manage stakeholders at all levels within the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Managing external vendors (including tight vendor scope, schedule and cost control)
- Managing a team of project resources
- Controlling project design and planning and implementation activities.
- Defining, sourcing & managing necessary project resources.
- Controlling project schedules to ensure that necessary project stages are completed according to the project plan.
- Preparing project budgets, attaining necessary approvals in a timely manner and monitoring project financials.
- Monitoring and tracking project financials and the realisation of defined project benefits.
- Preparing Project documentation in accordance with current SDLC and PRINCE2-aligned Project Methodology.
- Preparing Project reporting documentation in a format as specified by the organisation.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- MINIMUM 7 YEARS CURRENT SENIOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN A LARGE ORGANISATION
- PROVEN PROJECT MANAGEMENT, INCLUDING EXPERIENCE IN LEADING MAJOR PROJECTS.
- PROVEN INTERPERSONAL SKILLS TO/ADVISE AND INFLUENCE STAKEHOLDERS, NEGOTIATE, CONSULT AND MOTIVATE PEOPLE EFFECTIVELY
- EXTENSIVE TRACK RECORD ACROSS ALL PHASES OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT - WORKING WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS TO DELIVER SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES FOR THE BUSINESS.
