Project Manager - Finance Services

PROJECT MANAGER PM CAPABILTY, FINANCE SERVICES, DEFENCE, PROGRAMME AND PROJECT

A Project Manager with PM Capabilty, Finance Services, Defence, Programme and Project experience is required to work on a four month contract (This is a 3 or 4 Month contract working for a UK leading defence company.)

OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT MANAGER CONTRACT ROLE
There is a requirement to develop and implement a Project/Programme Manager (PMO) capability for Finance Services. This will involve agreeing the requirement with various stakeholders and then designing and implementing a PMO capability. The PMO will operate across three Business Change areas and will provide a capability around tools, processes and PM organisation. It is envisaged that this will be a 2-3 month activity to put in place a light touch PMO capability that will be operated by the PM community.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE PROJECT MANAGER
Develop a clear documented process to assess the category type and life cycle to be followed for a change: LCM/non-LCM/small change.
Define a project life cycle for each change type, Technical or business change or a mixture of both.
A prescriptive method for determining which deliverables are required for each type of change based upon complexity and nature (technical/business/mix).
Inclusion of project delivery assurance gates and Governance and reporting structures for all change types.
Peer review should be leveraged for delivery assurance activities such as gate reviews.
Define the roles and interaction of roles around the project space PM, BCM, SME, Delivery Assurance and Solution Architect etc.
Deliverable templates must be produced to ensure deliverables are coherent and consistent, permitting for structured delivery assurance.
The above method must be documented and stored in a manner consistent with FS document management and retention policies which may include use of Workspace.

The role is based in Farnborough, Preston or Glascoed in Usk.
