Project Manager (f/m) Financial area Ireland/Luxembourg

We are looking for our client, a financial institution in Luxembourg for IT Section - Investment Funds & Fix Team, for external support for Ireland and Luxembourg by a project manager (f/m).
I. JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position is responsible for organizing, scheduling, follow up, problem resolution and status reporting on systems development projects, as assigned, to ensure that each is completed on time and within budget, that the deliverables meet the Organisations requirements and that the project follows the Organisations IT Governance standards and frameworks for project management and development methodology.
II. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONS:
The Project Manager will liaise with all members of the project team and manage both the project and process improvements within the scope of the project, by improving documentation templates, procedures, etc.
III. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage projects as assigned, which will include the following activities: Document scope, benefits, approach, risks and constraints. Prepare, maintain and publish project budgets, including all time and materials expenses, such as hardware, software, development and support resources, etc. Collect, trend and report key project management metrics for measuring performance. Develop, communicate and coordinate project plans, schedules and resource allocation with Development Managers, project team members and other groups within IT as required. Update project plans and publish changes as project progresses through development life cycle. Identification and communication or project risks, and the development of risk mitigation strategies and escalation procedures.
IV. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
6+ years experience in project management of systems development projects
2+ years experience with automated testing and defect tracking tools.
4+ years experience in the use of Microsoft Project Manager tool
6+ years experience in resource planning and management within projects
4+ years experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with financial and/or banking systems a plus
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in leadership
Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English
Availability and willingness to travel and stay at least during working days in Cork, IRELAND where development and business teams are loacted.
Availability and willingness to travel from Cork to Luxembourg at least once a month for face to face meetings with management
Assignment Details:
Assignment: full-time
Location: Cork (Ireland) & Luxembourg
Starting date: August, 1st 2013
Duration: the assignment is currently at least foreseen until end of 2013 (potentially extensible to end of 2014)
