Project Manager (Electrical or Mechanical: Water) Leeds Huxley Associates and one of the UK's leading Engineering Contractor Houses are looking to recruit a Project Manager on a permanent basis, owing to a large increase in the project pipeline within the Water / AMP Projects. Based out of Leeds, the Project Manager will be responsible for the management of water projects through the full lifecycle, from requirements capture through to delivery and handover. Ideally coming from an apprentice engineering background (ideally Electrical, but Mechanical also considered), the Project Manager will be managing and driving multi-steam projects with project values up to £8m. General Job Duties will entail: * Financial control of contracts * Managing and monitoring sub-contractors * Placing sub-contracts * Liaison with the clients representatives * Identifying resource needs for projects * Recruiting staff * Programming and planning * Liaison with the core business * Liaison and coordination with design team * Implementation of company safety, health and environmental policies * Ensuring and maintaining high quality outputs * Liaison with designers * Management of project design outputs * Provision of tender stage input Key Skills & Qualities * Recognised Electrical or Mechanical background * Will have an engineering background with proven track record * 5 years previous experience in a similar role * Water industry project experience preferred * Computer literate, particularly with MS Office applications is essential * Proven track record in working with and understanding cost management systems * Demonstrate good document control, record keeping and reporting * Established project planning and organisational capabilities * Demonstrate good interpersonal skills * Experience of quality management systems preferred * Able to communicate at senior levels * Experience of planning and supervising personnel * Good leadership qualities with associated qualifications an advantage * CITB or IOSHH qualified for managing safely Experience of Chemical Dosing / Water Treatment will also be considered for this role and/or experience of managing Engineering projects within the Water Industry.
