Project Manager Datacenter

The person we are looking for needs to have strong Project Management skills and has a proven track record in Datacenter Optimization projects and Datacenter Transition projects.

Scope of the project is to identify all possible scenarios to consolidate the Amsterdam Data Center (or parts of it) to the Munich Data Center. All aspects need to be described, from a technical level as well as the cost implications.

FUNCTIE-EISEN

- Strong structural focus and ability to build C-Level concepts & presentations
- DC technology knowledge, eg storage, server, WAN, LANâ ¦
- DC Optimization & Transition experience, eg relocations, virtualization, consolidation â ¦
- Objective of the initial 3 month analysis period is to build a solid and agreed concept that depicts the possibilities for optimizing an existing DC by utilizing state of the art technologies.
- The work is conducted in strong cooperation with financial management in order to create proper business cases for the technical models.
- PM certification is mandatory ( PMP or Prince2 Practitionner )
- Project management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Experience in GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance)
- Experience working witin a Global IT Environment/Client Organization
- Advanced mastery in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project.
- Advanced use of WIKIs, Livelink, Sharepoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to read and understand standard business documentation (eg contract language).
- Excellent to amazing organizational, and team skills.
- Proven ability to work on under tight schedules and great pressure.
- Strong cognitive skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and be flexible.
- Identify and report problems in a timely manner.
- Adaptability and flexibility to handle ambiguous conditions and changing priorities
- Superior customer facing skills
- Experience in working with virtual teams ( Global teams in EU, Americas and Asia regions )
