Project Manager Contract Closure

The Project Manager Contract Closure will be responsible for identifying all open requirements and conditions to close network implementation contracts and for managing a dedicated sub project to complete all these requirements.

With one year until the planned commercial completion of the network implementation, the task of this Project Manager will be to work with the different departments and functions like Contract Management, Engineering, Finance, other Project Managers etc. to systematically review all contractual documents and compile a complete list of remaining activities, deliveries, approvals etc. that are required to close the implementation contracts.
Building on this the PM will then be responsible (with support from the Engineering and the Program Manager) to group the identified elements into clearly defined work packages, assign owners, goals and timelines, track progress for each of the work packages and coordinate between them and other ongoing implementation activities.

The main goal is to provide full visibility of and high level control over all remaining activities to close the implementation contracts.

An additional element in the role we be the Project Management of the "Function Release Process", to assign all functionality still to be delivered to specific work packages and releases and to manage design, development and implementation of these packages. This is mainly a technical process run in the Engineering team, but it requires Project Management support eg. to raise Change Orders, provide Change Offers, place orders on the main suppliers and manage them etc. This includes also the planning alignment with other activities, which will be done in close cooperation with the Planning team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The position will report to Program Manager.

The main responsibility is to ensure a complete review of the contract and identification of all outstanding activities to close the contracts, and to ensure all identified elements are being progressed as required to achieve the project timelines.
This includes in depth hands-on work with the contracts, close cooperation with Contracts Management about interpretation of the contracts and with other Project Managers and Engineering to review compliance and identify any gaps.

The PM can draw on relevant resources within Engineering, Program Management, Contract Management, Legal etc.

The PM be the practical link between the contract and the different groups that have to provide the contractual deliverables.

The PM will engage in negotiations with the customer on issues where necessary.

The PM will support Engineering in the completion of feature design, development and implementation.

SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrable relevant experience:

- Significant experience in working with and managing complex public procurement contracts
- Managing contract compliance
- Project Management experience in either IT or Telco Operator environments
- Experience of managing technical projects
- Experience of customer specific solution architecture

- MSc, BSc or equivalent
