Project Manager- Contract

OUR CLIENT, AN GLOBAL INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL PRODUCTS ORGANIZATION, IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PROJECT MANAGER WITH A BACKGROUND IN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS WITHIN FINANCIAL SERVICES TO JOIN A LARGE PROGRAMME.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
- To plan and execute all aspects of a Product Development Project including product design, system requirements, development and testing.
- Plan, direct and manage project development from beginning to end
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, project delivery and management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret and challenge business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Document and deliver quality Project Status Reports in a timely manner and within requested frequency.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years project management experience in large projects which should span several disciplines (ie project management, business analysis, testing)
- Hold a recognised standard in project management (ie Prince2 or P3O)
- 5+ years experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a rapidly developing/expanding environment
- Experience on the technologies used to support business lines are essential eg SQL, LIFE400 (AS400 type system), Cobol, SAP, Online Services, NBQs, EBQs.
- Experience in Investment and Life Assurance Products beneficial
