Project Manager - Contract role working in South West: HMNB Devonport, for 6 months. We are looking for Project Manager for our Defence sector client with Construction background.

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: South West: HMNB Devonport

Duration: 6 months from start date

The minimum level of clearance prior to starting is SC Clearance.

ESSENTIAL

- Management of Industry Suppliers to DELIVER CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS from inception to handover within time cost and quality perameters. Regular accurate reporting of progress and financial position.
- The Post holder will be acting as CLIENT focal point for PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGING CONTRACTORS AND CONSULTANTS IN THE DELIVERY OF PROJECTS.
- Liaise with STAKEHOLDERS and provide accurate FINANCIAL and PROGRESS REPORTS.

- The lead role for the management and delivery of CLIENT Construction Infrastructure projects from concept stage to transfer of completed facilities to the end-user, within time, cost and quality parameters and in accordance with CLIENT policies and procedures. Feasibility & assessment: Reviewing requirements and prepare feasibility assessment using in house expertise prior to industry engagement. Managing suppliers and delivery.
- Commission and manage suppliers to deliver construction projects to agreed time, cost and quality parameters including CLIENT intelligent customer appraisal of contractor's proposals to ensure value for money solutions.
- CLIENT focal point for resolution of all construction technical issues. Act in the role of Client for CDM Regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all CLIENT and Statutory Regulations.Collaborate with Commercial to identify the optimum construction procurement strategy. Provide regular management reports and returns to required timescale and standard and produce exception reports as necessary.
- Contribute to Business Case submissions .
- Stakeholder and end user management Ensure that all stakeholders are engaged in a timely manner and that their input is addressed. Reviewing and interpreting end-user requirements for adherence to CLIENT requirements and translating them to enable suppliers to deliver project objectives and benefits.Manage the project budget within delegated authority, providing accurate and timely forecasts. Provide finance information in support of CLIENT financial approvals process.
- Risk & issues management Pro-actively manage risk at all project stages to drive optimal delivery. Promptly manage emerging issues to avoid programme delay or cost escalation. Development To share best practice amongst peers and undertake lessons learned exercises for projects within their delegation or assignment.
