Project Manager

Purpose of the role:

Support the Programme Manager to deliver the products of the RBM programme including Failure Management System successfully, in line with budget and on time.

Key Accountabilities:

This role will report to the Programme Manager and be required to:

Use established project management tools and methodologies (including GRIP for change) to actively manage the programme

Generate financial forecasts and develop business case submissions to secure assurance and further funding as required

Monitor, track and report progress for delivery against baseline, finances against budget. Produce periodic update plans, progress reports and risks plans with owners.

Deploy and manage resources, internal and external suppliers

Provide secretariat support to the Programme Board and own the process for monitoring actions

Provide suitable and regular progress updates to key stakeholders

Support and facilitate delivery of key milestones including planning and delivering product acceptance processes, planning and facilitating workshops and other team sessions, and coordinating central and Route based resources to implement the programme

Contract manage suppliers

Key Skills

Knowledge and experience of project management processes and techniques

Knowledge of business management processes and techniques

Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisational skills
