Project Manager (Construction Manager)

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manages the construction of a new 345 kV GIS substation and a new 138kV substation, including the installation of two new Auto Transformers and work on several associated transmission lines (66 transmission poles & wires).
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects as assigned and within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives.
- Oversees all aspects of projects.
- Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of projects.
- Provides leadership for project team members and the Project Management process.
- Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
- Contractors will be knowledgeable in all aspects of their assignments (construction practices for substations and transmission lines) to verify conformance to the project design documents and utility standards.

SKILLS

Required to have a bachelors degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 15 years Project Management experience. Must follow and adhere to Project Management Process and Requirements. PMP Certification Required.
