Project Manager - Clinical Research - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Our client is a forward thinking, global Clinical Research Organisation and they currently have a new and exciting opening for a Project Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract based in Manchester.

Role Responsibility:

To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Provide project management leadership to cross-functional teams by integrating, facilitating, coordinating, and managing all activities related to the initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and closeout of assigned projects.

Responsible for managing projects to ensure integration, coordination and consistency of processes throughout project life-cycle.

To coordinate and manage the activities of individual projects and team members in a manner that ensures all budgetary requirements, study timeframes and targets are met.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Manage portfolio consisting of mainly IDS-only, multi-service, single or multi-center projects and the overall process of planning, scheduling and controlling the project from initiation to project closeout to ensure timely completion of the project.

* Create, execute, maintain a detailed project plan and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

* Create, finalize, monitor, and close out project charters (where applicable).

* Conduct study feasibility and ensure proper site selection, set-up and management of site(s).

* Oversee clinical monitoring from site qualification to site closure visits to ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards.

* Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.

* Effectively apply IDS PM methodology and enforce project standards.

* Utilize risk management methodologies to identify risks and work with the team to develop appropriate mitigation plans. Anticipate and address issues before they become major problems

* Manage project budget to ensure financial targets are met through regular review of direct/indirect costs and project resources.

* Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization

* Collaborate with Finance and Project Analysis to ensure accurate revenue recognition, invoicing, and other financial reconciliations.

Experience and Qualification:

* Relevant field monitoring or relevant clinical experience.

* Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee's location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Drivers license.

* BA/BS in the life sciences, nursing, or local equivalent.
