Project Manager/Business Systems Analyst

JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER/BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

LOCATION: Houston, TX

SALARY: $42-48/HOUR

HOUSTON BASED COMPANY HAS AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A BUSINESS ANALYST/PROJECT MANAGER FOR A ONE YEAR CONTRACT THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE EXTENDED.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate for this position must have a proven track record of gathering and analysing business and system requirements to meet the business goals and represent IT to the business organizations. The successful candidate in this role will be responsible for analysing various business functions, systems, processes and data, and making viable recommendations to the client management

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide expert-level project management and business systems analysis support for multiple cross-functional projects.
- Develop/manage/maintain comprehensive and accurate project plans and work breakdown structures.
- Work closely and communicate effectively with business partners, stakeholders, sponsors and management to determine business needs and requirements.
- Lead and facilitate meetings, take notes, ensure completion of action items, application testing plan development and ability to test applications,
- Conduct analysis of various business functions, systems, processes and data, and make viable recommendations to the management.
- Utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely create documentation and reports.
- Perform estimation, forecasting, planning, analysis, issue/risk/change management, escalation management, meeting facilitation, variance analysis, and status reporting.
- Complete project related tasks as assigned by the manager

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 5 years of experience of project management and business analysis

A college Degree is required

Knowledge of databases and SQL is required

Experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing is preferred

Experience with basic project management tasks such as creating work breakdown structure and project schedule, managing scope, tracking issues and ensuring that the deliverables conform to the established quality standards.
