Project Manager/Business Analyst *urgent* Major IB

Day to Day Responsibilities

* Capture user requirements and define appropriate solutions in line with the aims of the business and IT strategy.
* Produce written specifications, ensuring they are reviewed and validated by users, peers and other stakeholders.
* Produce accurate project plans, ensuring sufficient resources are provisioned, and that risks and dependencies are identified and managed.
* Work with stakeholders across various functional lines to ensure that projects are progressed and statuses within the area are reported in regular steering to sponsors.
* Define testing, integration plans and user sign off criteria for delivery.
* Take primary responsibility for the delivery of your projects, with focus on their quality, timeliness and cost.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Strong and proven ability to manage and deliver IT projects (Proven experience managing projects in front office environment).
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people in different teams.
* Strong project management ability (Proven experience managing regular steering meetings with business sponsors and stakeholders).
* Prior experience working at an Investment Banking.

Advantageous Skills

* Prior experience working in a Trading Environment (Fixed Income or Equities preferred)
* Prior knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity Products (Corporate Bonds, CDS, ETFs esp.)
* Knowledge of SDLC and prior experience working on software development projects.

Academic Background

* Bachelor degree in an applicable subject matter (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, etc.)
