Project Manager/Business Analyst - Finance - Zürich

For an exciting new position with our client, a major Bank, we are currently seeking a candidate to perform a dual role as IT PROJECT MANAGER AND REQUIREMENTS ENGINEER within a project in Zürich, Switzerland.

- A dynamic international working environment, co-operating closely with business and IT groups in Switzerland and Global locations.
- A challenging role with responsibility for overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the project.
- A focus on understanding and defining business needs, identifying potential for improvements and developing these into efficient system solutions in co-operation with the business users and IT groups.

FURTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

- Responsibility for project planning and delivery in line with the agreed business strategy/roadmap and adhering to the Banks standards and technologies.
- Accountability for overseeing, controlling and steering of the project delivery (with respect to finances, resources and deliveries) as well as adherence to the project management standards.
- Understanding and documenting detailed business requirements and translate business needs into technical systems and process improvement solutions within the defined time, cost, scope and quality.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- University degree in computer science, mathematics, or business
- More than five years of experience in leading high profile and complex IT projects in a corporate development or consulting setting, ideally with legal and compliance background
- A successful track record of leading cross-functional teams to distinctive results in complex and ambiguous situations
- Experience in applying agile project methodologies
- Good technical understanding of relational database design. Proficiency with Oracle/SQL is a plus.
- Profound analytical skills and experience with structured working methods
- Proactive and solution oriented personality with hands-on mentality
- Ability to establish a professional and sustainable stakeholder relationship on different seniority levels.
- Excellent presentation techniques and communication skills
- Proficiency in English and German
- Project Management certification is a plus
- Requirements Engineering/Business Analysis certification is a plus
